Farm to Table Dinner - Sept 11th
On September 11th, the Accomac Inn will be hosting a Farm to Table dinner event at Codorun Farms, the site of the Accomac's garden. As lovers of local food and agriculture, we are excited that this meal will showcase food produced within roughly 20 miles of the dinner.
We had the pleasure of photographing the participating farms and farmers. We set out to get some great photos but ended up with a whole new appreciation for local agriculture and its role in the community.

There will be a cocktail hour in the barn followed by a dinner along the field.
The Accomac will provide tomatoes, peppers, zuchini, and swiss chard.
Fitzkee's Candies in York will provide chocolate buttons for fireside s'mores after the dinner.
Brogue Hydroponics of Brogue will provide edible flower garnishes and herbs.
Allegro Vineyards of Brogue will provide various wines throughout the evening.
Lehman's Produce and Roadside Market of York will be providing cantaloupe, corn, and butternut squash.
Twin Pine Farm of Seven Valleys will be providing beef for the dinner.
Shaw Orchards of Stewartstown will be providing pears and apples.
These folks and others will be on hand at the dinner to talk about their farms and food. We are very passionate about the importance of knowing the people that grow and harvest our food, and this will be an invaluable opportunity for those that attend.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, an organization that works hard to promote farms that are healthy for both people and the environment around them.
