THIS ONE IS FOR YOU.

Believe it or not, York City is more than just events, meetings, and fundraisers. Though our blog has a tilt towards things "going on", we have soft spots in our hearts for the day to day. During the last two rainy and dreary days, we set out to capture the life on the streets.

At Esaan we caught up with Nathan Hess and Wyatt McGuire, two of the tech-heads behind Clarke Avenue's newest business- Idea Tree. With Idea Tree moved in and Codo 28 opening by the end of the year, Clarke Avenue is getting pretty hip.

At Central Market, the paint is fresh and businesses are more connected than ever. Bair's Fried Chicken, JR's Fries, Chilly Dillys, Nuts About Granola, Sauder's Smokehouse, Simply Soup, Lincolnway Flowershop, and many more use Twitter and Facebook to reach the masses.

Things are ramping up for wedding season at The Susquehanna Photographic. Our Saturday mornings at Market will soon be replaced with brides and bouquets.

Though we walk by these murals every day on our trip from our parking spot to the office, this was the first time we really stopped to look at these giant pieces of art. We are always fascinated by the story of the Four Chaplains.

Not much to say about this one. Lafayette is lookin' hip! : )

Two of our many favorite market-vendor-friends. Drew from The Busy Bee and Sarah from Nuts About Granola.

These are just a few of our favorite things and people in York. It really is awesome to be witness to the growth of such a great city and community.

I am so fascinated by the story of the Chaplains as well. I truly love York City...It is a great place to be. I have coined it the "Hidden Treasure of Central PA". Don't you think...it is like finding the $20 bill in your coat pocket you forgot you put there.
