Day Trip: Peters Orchards
So we haven't done a "Day Trip" segment in a while and thought it was about time.
Over the weekend we took a drive through the country on our way to Laurel Lake and stopped at Peters Orchards in Gardners, PA.

Peters Orchards spans miles of the countryside along the Carlisle Pike just past York Springs. Aside from the beautiful scenery, its main attraction is the orchard store, which sits along the road.

The orchard has a full spectrum of fruits and vegetables, which they post on their harvest schedule board. It hangs above their proud display of first place ribbons from the Pennsylvania Farm Show.

The sights and smells make it hard not to buy one of everything.

The orchard store also sells a variety of local jams, honeys, syrups, and baked goods.

We got a box of honey crisp apples for the road- deliciously crunchy and sweet.
Next time you happen to be in Gardners, make sure you make a stop at Peters Orchards- scenery and delicious tastes all in one stop.

I seriously LOVE Peter's Orchard! I got really excited when I saw this was your latest blog. The old man that owns the place is so funny, I've been cornered there for close to an hour (on more than one occasion) hearing about everything from different types of apples to his college adventures. fantastic.
Plus their apple cider is the shit.
