Raemi's Cafe

York has a new sandwich shop in town!

Raemi's Cafe opened up just a few weeks ago at 29 South Duke St, right across from the Yorktowne Hotel.

Raemi's started as a catering business in Baltimore but has since opened the cafe here in York. And boy, are we glad! Their menu features a quick breakfast selection, but shines the most at lunchtime- a great selection of soups, salads and sandwiches.

They feature creatively-named items, like this fresh PA Chopped Salad:

Between the two of us and our lunch partners, we were able to taste several kinds of sandwiches- all delicious! Below, find the Downtown Turkey sandwich: a refreshingly simple concoction of turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a whole wheat roll, and the Naimese Chicken Wrap: roasted chicken, shredded broccoli, cabbage, and roma tomatoes topped with sweet and sour sauce in a tomato basil tortilla. Yum!

One of our favorite sandwiches was the Pesto Chicken- two fresh onion rolls stuffed with roasted chicken breast, baby spinach, tomato, and pesto mayo.

We wish Rami and Rae of Raemi's Cafe and Catering the best for the future. See the smiling face of Rami below. Introduce yourself the next time you see her!

Word on the street has it that if you tell Raemi's your favorite sandwich and they make it the special of the week, you eat lunch for free!
