SPLASH! Concert - 8/1/2009
Note: This is a long post, if you just want to see photos (107 of them!) check out our flickr.
Yesterday was the first SPLASH! concert of the season...and what a show it was!
The concert started around 7:30, a quick recovery after torrential downpours and a fit of ugly thunder and lightning. If you don't know what SPLASH! is, check out this document from Downtown, Inc.

Davis Howley and The Diction started the party off right. It was my first time hearing this funky, folky, group of talented musicians. I liked what I heard.

The crowd also seemed to respond to Davis. It was a great set.

Dana Alexandra, accompanied by Free Breakfast, performed next. Her voice carried excellent in Foundry Park and was maybe my favorite set of the evening.

As the sun went down it was clear that the fans were ready to rock out...cue Kingsfoil.

The night didn't disappoint. Everyone I saw left with huge smiles on their faces (and some with a Double D hot dog in their belly). I hope that turn out for SPLASH! grows and grows.

Great venue, great weather, great bands, great photos, great night! Thanks to everyone who came out to support live music in downtown York. Hope to see you in Foundry Park on the Codorus every Saturday for the next few months.
And thank YOU for doing what you do to put the show on.
