Rep Depasquale's Holiday open house

On Friday, State Representative Eugene DePasquale opened his office to constituents to help him welcome the holiday season and kick off his Salvation Army food drive. Visitors were asked to bring a food item to donate to York's Salvation Army.

The event also showcased the talents of local chef Sean Arnold. Chef Arnold prepared a variety of sandwiches, a salad with citrus vinaigrette dressing, and beautiful fruit and veggie trays. "Many of the ingredients were purchased at Central Market yesterday" Arnold said, and everything was tasty!

On the sweeter side of things, Central Market vendor Just Cupcakes provided delicious mini cupcakes for the event. If you haven't had a few (dozen) of these cupcakes, you are missing out!

Though the food put smiles on all faces, the real smiles will be on the folks who get a little more to eat this winter thanks to everyone who came out to the open house.

Dozens of boxes and bags of food were donated and surely many more will be donated in the days to come- the food drive runs until the end of December.  If you wish to donate, stop in at Rep. DePasquale's office at 1 W. Market Way and hand it to one of the lovely ladies manning the ship.
