RECAP: 2009 Kickball Tournament
In case you missed our video slideshow of the 2009 Downtown Kickball Tournament, here is a recap of the day in a series of stills.
On Saturday, October 3rd, Downtown Inc. hosted its 2nd Annual Downtown Kickball Tournament at the York Revolution stadium.

After an eery weather forecast, player and attendees were pleasantly greeted with sunshine and blue skies. 150 hardcore kickballers formed 24 teams, and each and every one was in it to win.
The field was divided into four sections, so that four games could occur simultaneously. Team spirit kept the day moving swiftly.

But one by one, teams fell by the wayside, and two emerged for the championship game: the Susquehanna Apparel/YSSC – Team #1, captained by Jason McMullen and Force Majeure, captained by Andrew Paxton.
Below, a close call as a Force Majeure player races his ball to first base.

But in the end, there was only one.

The Susquehanna Apparel/YSSC – Team #1 triumphed after a close game, with Force Majuere right behind them.

Below, a member of the team Deemed Inappropriate celebrates her team's win for the Best Costume Contest, and a player from the winning team receives her medal.

We congratulate all teams on their accomplishments, and most of all commend everyone that participated in raising an outstanding $18,000 for Downtown Inc. and their efforts!
