YORK CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATES FORUM
LOOKING FOR VIDEO? VIDEO OF THIS EVENT WILL BE POSTED EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.
Over the last few weeks we've had the honor of working with a talented group of people including Sonia Huntzinger of Downtown, Inc, Mandy Arnold, Jessica Fieldhouse, Edward Lincoln, and Gary Gearhart to organize a debate for City Council Candidates. After many hours of canvasing, organizing, and countless hours of phone calls, last night was the night.

After confirming and triple confirming, we were glad to see all of the candidates come out for the forum. From left to right: Henry Nixon (D), Nina Aimable (R), Renee Nelson (D), Jay Andrzejczyk (R)

Above: The view from the "hot seat", and one from the audience: candidates handed out literature to everyone in attendance.

Moderator Dr. Thomas V. Hall, Professor of Communications at York College and city resident, did a fantastic job of moderating both the candidates and the crowd.

The candidates faced seven tough questions submitted to Downtown, Inc, and then a few from the audience at the end. For a break down of some of the questions and answers, check out Angie Mason's article at the York Daily Record.

Mark Sollars (above left) of the Lafayette Club kept the candidates on time and gave tours to anyone wanting to learn more about the club. Ed Lincoln, Lafayette Club General Manager, was gracious enough to host the event and had questions of his own to ask the candidates.

After the scheduled forum was over, all of the candidates took time to talk one-on-one with citizens, journalists, and anyone that was willing to listen to why they should be elected to city council.
It was nice to see a good number of political figures come out for the event. City council members Joe Musso, Toni Smith (above left), and Carol-Hill Evans were in attendance as well as Mayoral Candidates Steven Young (above top right) and Kim Bracey (above bottom).
Overall, attendance of this event was a great sign that both residents and those that frequent York City are concerned about its future and are willing to take an active part to see that it heads in the right direction.
Thanks to all that came out!

Are there any acai berry side effects? Find out here!
I noticed you guys have been talking about high heels and I wanted to share something with you that you might be interested in...
A little over 2 years ago, my husband and I got married in Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately, the day of our wedding was spoiled with rain. We have been having the wedding out on the grass and believe it or not, I was wearing high heeled shoes! They had been ruined by the end with the day :(
Although this was one in the worst experiences I've ever had with my shoes, it really led my sister in law to create a merchandise which is just awesome! It is already been featured on TV shows like the Girls of the Playboy Mansion, and the show Kendra.
Heels Above will aid you protect your pricey heels from sinking in mud, slipping in cracks, and walking on sand and gravel. It's a new product, and I thought I'd share it with all of you.
They're taking orders now. It is possible to order one pair, or a few dozen for your big wedding day.
I hope you guys like it... If you've any questions, feel free to drop them an email on their web site:
